Bourbon and cookies at sunset

We got in the boat at 4.20pm

The sun was low in the sky

A complete absence of wind

Herring creek was like a sheet of glass

Cruising at a very low speed

Checking out the birds perched on the banks

Turning into Turville creek

Heading directly towards the setting sun

Coming to a dead stop as the sun dropped lower

No other boats on the water

We broke out the bourbon

Passed around home baked cookies

The sun dipped lower

Turning the sky bright orange

Sipping more bourbon

Eating more cookies

Marveling at the sunset

Motoring back faster

Watching the refection of the sky

In the glass like surface of the creek

Carved up by our wake

Our private sunset on the Creek was over

A big thanks to Captain Darryl

The last of the season for sure

We will be back for more sunsets

With bourbon and cookies for sure
